Live simply. Produce real food.

Chicks have been arriving since March and harvesting started in April.  Since we process here on the farm, we'll have something fresh almost every week here and at the Salem NH Farmer's Market. This year has seen some interesting changes. We continue to offer the standard plump and juicy Cornish Cross chicken and continue breeding the American Bresse (a blue-footed chicken) with its amazingly succulent breast meat and a large dark full-flavor dark meat. We also continue to offer more of the heritage duck with the all-time favorite, Pekin duck. The heritage duck, though smaller, has a deeper flavor because it eats more bugs and moves around the yard more than the Pekin. We are what you eat after all.  So while we will continue to offer the familiar, we hope you'll consider the occasional special treat of something new and exciting. 

To cap of the season in the Fall we will again offer pastured turkey. We are also hopeful that our flock of geese will produce this year for that holiday goose. Who knows what else will come up, but we’re sure you’ll enjoy.  Step outside the box and try something new-ish or feast on the freshest and tastiest local chicken from Flying M.  We process whole or parts and beak to feet. We continue to experiment with various fodder grains in our barnyard diet. The geese like to get the first graze and then the chickens or ducks devour the rest. The rabbits love it too. More as we learn.

Flying M Farm has is teaming up again with Watterson Farm in Hampton Falls in 2025 to bring you a pasture-raised turkey.  Chicks arrive in July at Flying M Farm. We'll raise them here for a few weeks before they head out to pasture. We know you'll love and appreciate this meal with friends and family. Please contact the farm any time after August to order.
