We are a female owned and family operated homestead farm specializing in chicken, duck, rabbit, and goose. Our mission is to bring a variety of good tasting farm-raised food to tables in the local community and build awareness of the homestead-farm difference.
Live simply. Produce real food.
Lee Miner's passion for providing community based, local food started as a child. Growing up Lee spent weekends at Flying W Farm, her grandparents farm located in West Newbury, Massachusetts. The W stood for Walker, her grandparent's last name. Spending time with her grandparents, chasing geese, hanging out with the goats, and watching the sheep in the field led Lee to catch the bug for farming. And the food!!
Lee grew up on fresh goats milk, homemade boursin cheese, fresh eggs, and home cooked meals from the garden. This started her love of community involvement and appetite for local fresh food. Lee went on to pursue a successful career as a geologist and moved from Massachusetts to New Hampshire in 2005. Up went the first coop and the seed of a second career as a homestead farmer began. In 2010 a barn was built on the property to accommodate the expanded variety of laying hens, ducks and broiler chickens.
In 2019 Lee bid a terrific career adieu and jumped into farming full time with the support of her husband Larry! Flying M Farm (a nod to her grandparent's Flying W Farm) was formerly established as an LLC in 2018. The M stands Miner, Lee and her husband Larry's last name.
